In just a few square miles on Cleveland's west side, you'll find the oldest continuously operating public market in America, a stop on the Underground Railroad, Ohio's most haunted building, a boulevard of Victorian mansions that once rivaled anything in the city, and a brewing tradition stretching from 19th-century German lager empires to today's nationally celebrated craft breweries. Author Thomas Kaschalk brings rare historic photographs and stories that reveal just how much history — and how much heart — is packed into Cleveland's Ohio City. Tom Kaschalk is the founder of My Cleveland History and a volunteer researcher at the Cuyahoga County Archives. Through his books, presentations, and research, he works to preserve and share the stories of Cleveland’s neighborhoods and the people who built them. A book signing and sales will follow the event.
