It’s a couples’ book signing! Celebrating Valentine’s Day and a mutual love for literature:

Ben Vendetta is the author of the rock ‘n’ roll-themed novels Wivenhoe Park (2013), Heartworm (2015) and Sunset Trip (2018), a trilogy which follows the exploits of a music journalist from the mid-eighties until Y2K. His gritty coming-of-age fiction has been compared to the likes of Nick Hornby, Bret Easton Ellis, and J.D. Salinger. Plain Dealer book critic Laura DeMarco describes Vendetta’s works as “a rock ‘n’ roll Bildungsroman. One in which the musical references are so genuine and authentic, you know you’re reading the word of a true music fan, not someone trying to re-create a ‘scene’ through pop-culture name-dropping.”

Vendetta has an extensive background in the music industry. He published Vendetta Magazine from 1995 to 2002 and directed PR at Dionysus Records in Los Angeles before co-founding Elephant Stone Records with his wife Arabella Proffer.

Arabella Proffer is a painter and author whose work is in over 60 private collections. She participates in solo and group exhibitions throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. She is the author of The National Portrait Gallery of Kessa: The Art of Arabella Proffer (2011), a comical art series GURLS (2017), and the photo book, The Restrooms of Cleveland (2019).

Proffer has been awarded a NOLABound fellowship, Ohio Arts Council grant, and an Akron Soul Train fellowship. She has appeared in The Plain Dealer, Juxtapoz, The Wall Street Journal, Scene, The Portland Review, Whiskey Island Journal, The Harvard Gazette, SF Weekly, LA Times, and more.
