CENTER STAGE CAMP, Grades 6 - 12 July 10 - August 14, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Theme: Steven Sondheim’s Into the Woods, Jr. Location: TrueNorth at The Rose 33200 Health Campus Boulevard (Lear/Nagle and I-90 interchange) Taught by a supportive and knowledgeable staff of theatre artists, this five-week camp will expose burgeoning actors and actresses to the labor of love that is putting on a full-scale musical. With days split between artist-development classes, team-building exercises and show rehearsals, campers will be immersed in a professional yet warm atmosphere concentrated on growth, camaraderie and play. Concluding with a one-weekend run of Into the Woods, Jr., Center Stage Camp is the right choice this summer! With Book by James Lapine, Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, this musical based on classic fairy tales about wishes and the choices we make will be your highlight for the summer of 2017. Featuring all of your favorite characters – Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.
